Fuel System

I had my car firing at this point, but it wouldn't run continuously. The issues were that it had a dirty carburetor and the fuel lines were all bad; either rotted, plugged, or punctured in various places. Once I replaced all the fuel line, rebuild the carb, and connected a new fuel filter, it was running great.
"new" core.

dury old carb. I think this is the one from the other car. I took pictures of it incase I took it off and couldn't figure out how to reassemble it. NOTE: pictures are life savers. TAKE THEM

painted the air filter cover. I started cleaning one-part-at-a-time. So that it would inspire be bit by bit.

fuel pump. May look a bit sorry, but it works.

Fuel tank removed and cleaned-ish.

bottom of tank.

That Won't Work! The old oil filler tube had retired years before I got hold of it.

Some fuel hose, a filter, a posible fuel filler tube (I ended up finding a better tube), and the pump.

YUCK! The old carb looked real sorry indeed.

The fuel inlet filter was completely clogged up with gunk.

Rebuilt carb ready to go.

Ignition!

old ignition coil.
New Coil! I get a spark.

contact breaker cover. I used the old contacts at first. I just needed to clean them up. But The points where not reliable, so I will need to get a new one.

This is my jimmy rig for a ingition keay until I could get my keys made.
(the car came with no key).

Got the engine to turn over, create a spark, and successfully catch. It's not running smoothly at this point, but it's a great start since it wasn't even creating a spark a week before this. It's time to rebuilt the carb and see if that does the trick.

Test run of the engine. IT WORKS!!!

Dirt! Dirt! Dirt!

After getting the two cars home, I did a pre-restoration overview. Basically I inspected the two cars to see which one would be my downer and which one would be my user. The car I thought to be in better shape ended up not being my choice in the end. Even though at first glance it looks better, it had rust in places and the body was heavily beaten. There were dents and dings everywhere.

The first car (The Doner)

And the second car (The restoration Car)

On The Way

I bought two of these. One parts car. One restoration car. They were from the bought off the same people. This is the parts car loaded up for the journey to it's new home.

It's not even restored yet, but I've already turned so many heads with this car. My dad, mom, brother, and myself loaded the first car and were on the drive home. We were about half way there when we decided to stop for dinner at a fast food restaurant. While eating, I observed many people turning heads as they walked past the micro car in the parking lot. One man even got close to it examining it in detail. That man ended up coming into the Jack-In-The-Box where we sat eating. He noticed we I was the owner of the honda. He seemed very excited seeing the car having never seeing one before.

Wheels and Tires

It makes it much easier to move a car when it has wheels. This was the first step in getting the car home. I was lucky enough that the previous owners let me take the wheels home first. I cleaned them up and picked the car up about a week later.

Starter Works

I hooked a battery up to my n600 and the starter worked. I was really excited! However, there is currently a falt in the ignition somewhere. There is no spark getting to the spark plugs. So I am currently working on that.

First Look

First look at the Honda n600s. They are both 1970 sedans and need a lot of work. The one above apparently ran before being parked but didn't stay running. The owners think it may have been a clogged fuel line. The one below They don't know to much about. It was mainly going to be a parts car as far as they new to get the one above restored to good condition. They are both pretty weathered inside and out.
